Hi, I am Brian (With Max !)

I am retired and that happened quite a few years ago now. I came to do photography more as a hobby after I retired. Initially it was cycling though, something I have done all my life since I was five. I progressed as a cyclist and as a teenager I started racing. That continued in various guises then until I was in my late sixties.

I have also always enjoyed taking photographs all my life. It was always with whatever camera I had with me, Starting with a Kodak Brownie 127 (No phones in the early days !). My photography soon began to take precedence over cycling, although I had managed to combine the two for a while. Now my cameras and their lenses have got more expensive and I walk instead of cycling !!!

Six years ago we acquired Max our Border Terrier. He now dominates most of our spare time but it’s not a burden. He is great company on photo walks.

I don’t have a fixed style or genre of photography as you will see from my Gallery. I try to find pictures wherever I can regardless of the content. It brings to mind the old saying “Jack of all trades, master of none ” maybe ?
